So, I started drawing!

Yep! I bought my own Bamboo Capture, which arrived yesterday, and I am looking to get back into drawing.
But, it has been so long since I have sketched, doodled, or colored anything. So I am looking for advice on where to start to help with proportions and shading and all the other techniques and tools that are used for drawing.
Even if you have you own tips or advice, please share! I am feeling so.... elementary at the moment. :(
